Jason Radford

Founder

Jason is a born and raised North Carolinian who grew up in the Triad area and attended Appalachian State University where he graduated with a degree in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Construction in 2003. He and his family relocated to Durham in 2010. He has spent nearly 20 years working in the construction industry and has gotten the chance to work on a wide range of projects in both the Industrial/Commercial and Residential arenas. He also spent a brief season working in Real Estate as a Licensed Broker.

Throughout the years of his professional journey his focus has always been on building relationships and doing all things with excellence. He is passionate about creating spaces for his clients to “do life” in and is committed to partnering with the best designers, subcontractors and vendors in our area to ensure that each client has not only an exceptional home but also an exceptional building experience. His passion for people, excellence in communication, attention to detail and his focus on consistency has and will always be at the forefront of everything he does.

He is a passionate husband to Ashley and father of four amazing kids. When not working, he enjoys growing in his faith, spending time with his family and friends, reading, camping, watching movies and completing projects around his own home.

Kenny Lemire

Project Manager

Originally from New Hampshire, Kenny’s construction career began as a Master Plumber and in 1987 Kenny along with family started a small residential plumbing company. In 1991 Kenny, his wife and young family relocated to North Carolina where he continued his career by forming a new plumbing service company, Grace Plumbing.

Throughout the years of plumbing Kenny longed to further develop his construction career and in December of 2000, his dream came true when he obtained his General Contractor’s license. Kenny is a “perfectionist” by nature and has always strived to serve his clients well by building exceptional quality homes. He takes great pleasure in helping other families throughout each phase of the building process and is a great asset to the Radford Building Company team.

Not only does Kenny thrive with helping other families achieve their project goals, but as a kid growing up in an apartment complex, he also dreamed of one day building a home for himself. To date he has completed (8) new homes for both he and his family!

Kenny’s quest to further develop didn’t stop with obtaining his contractor’s license as his hunger to grow continued. And in 2012 he obtained his Residential Real Estate License and is currently an active Broker.

Kenny is passionate about his faith and family. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Nicolle, his three grown children and their spouses as well as his six beautiful grandchildren. Most weekends during the summer you will find Kenny at the lake grilling for the family, taking everyone out for a boat ride and pulling his son on the wakeboard.

Josh Lemire

Project Assistant

Josh is a native of Durham where in his early life he began working with his father, (yep you guessed it, Kenny Lemire) in his plumbing and construction business. Over the years of working alongside his father he learned many things, but ultimately, he felt that a career in construction wasn’t for him. However, God had other plans and his early exposure must’ve ingrained in him a true love for the construction industry because in January of 2022 he joined the Radford Building Company team and has been a great asset ever since!

Over the course of his professional development, he has been positioned in roles which led him to excel in teamwork and customer service, which are now the core tenets of his work ethic. His technical and interdependent skills continue to grow at Radford Building Company where he values serving clients by working alongside a team of skilled trade professionals to carry out every endeavor with excellence. Josh’s care for people and the work he does is evident to each and every person who is fortunate enough to get to work with him.

When he is not working, he can be found riding a skate, wake or snowboard or playing guitar. But mostly he values spending his time with his wife Kalabria and his dog Mercy playing games, watching shows, and going on walks.

Jill Sheets

Selections Coordinator

Jill was born and raised in Waco, TX and grew up in the country on the Brazos River. Her favorite memories include attending Baylor sporting events and helping her family build most of their home themselves, giving her a birdseye view of the building process. Her dad would hand wires to Jill and her two siblings from the electrical panel and say, “take this to your bedroom” or “drop this down the kitchen wall.” Roofing their house was a family affair with the trampoline strategically placed under their working area!

Jill attended Dallas Baptist University where she double majored in Business Management & Communication Theory. She also has a true passion for the sport of volleyball and was fortunate enough to play for her alma mater. After graduating she landed a Corporate Sales Management position at Balcones Springs on Lake Travis in TX, it was here that she met her husband, Brandon. They married in 2006 and relocated to NC shortly thereafter for her husband to continue his education at Elon University. During this time Jill landed a position with the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club which ultimately led to them putting roots down in the Durham area.

Four children in under four years brought Jill’s focus home and has spent the last 10+ years pouring into her children as a stay at home mom. She is beyond grateful for the time she has spent as well as the precious memories she’s been able to make with them during this time together. When her youngest two children (twins!) started school, Jill orchestrated a complete renovation of half her home, including the kitchen, dining room, half bath, two living areas and foyer, all in three months, doing most of the work herself. The joy she found in building and creating inviting spaces for her family prompted her to begin looking for jobs in construction as well as her familiar background in sales. The result was what she refers to as her dream job as Selections Coordinator at Radford Building Company.

Jill continues to enjoy both playing & coaching volleyball as well as some of her other favorite past times: playing the piano, Bible Study Fellowship, family camping trips, rock climbing and the beach.
